Reflection:
When I started this project, I thought a lot about sensory overload for students, especially for students in younger grades. I personally found some of the example Bitmoji classrooms to be a bit overwhelming with the amount of imagery and colors that immediately attacks the eyes. While it could be considered fun and stimulating for some students, I also wanted to consider students who might not find this format ideal. Additionally, considering the flexibility of the assignment prompt, I wanted to create a project that was less overwhelming, while still being fun to engage with and look at. I ended up coming up with the idea of basing the project on a video game I played when I was younger, called Big Brain Academy. In Big Brain Academy, you are tested with various games to test various skills and I wanted to evoke that playful education concept here except with various art-related activities. I think I enjoyed this project the most out of all of the ones we have done so far this semester. Coming up with the idea was a challenge, but I am glad I chose to go with something different.
